Ill pensioner seeks to save Mangere home
An ill pensioner Sarah Ewe had to engage Callum McLean to help save her house after signing a contract to sell it to a door knocking home buying company without receiving advice from a lawyer.
Sarah Ewe, 72, was receiving chemotherapy when Auckland House Buyers salesman Peter Lee visited her Mangere property. The sale price in the contract was $560,000.
Sarah challenged the sale and purchase contract and sought to cancel the agreement.
The matter was able to be resolved and a confidential settlement was reached.
